Since being elected to the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees in 2022, Lou Lichtl has focused on restoring professional standards and financial health to the district. He has worked to ensure the Board operates with transparency and follows clear guidelines to best serve the students and the community.

Helped update and manage official board policies, making sure every action followed the right protocols and stayed on track.

Kept the organization financially healthy by pushing for smart spending and making sure there was always enough money in the reserves.

Led the board through a successful accreditation process, getting things back on track after previous board members had ignored the rules and put our status at risk.
