Connecting with local businesses while creating new community partnerships.

We can expand internship and job opportunities with our local business community through the Chamber of Commerce and other workforce boards. Ventura County’s opportunities bring a unique and vibrant perspective to our students that should be fully utilized as a mutually beneficial relationship for our students and community. As Principal at Thousand Oaks High School, we implemented new and innovative programs and approaches within the existing College and Career Education program, which expanded internship opportunities for students. As our students navigate their college experience post-pandemic, it is critical that the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees continue to develop and create additional partnerships with our local communities.
