Increasing graduation and transfer rates as a pathway to higher education or enhanced career opportunities.

To do this, a forward-thinking and innovative mindset is required. Under my leadership, Thousand Oaks High School achieved a 98.9% graduation rate for the class of 2017, which ranked among the top 5% state-wide. We also enhanced an existing College and Career Education Program that featured weekly speakers and opportunities for student shadowing and internships, partnerships with Moorpark College that led to the creation of Articulated Courses with the opportunity for students to earn college credit, as well as Dual Enrollment agreements that afforded students the opportunity to earn high school and college credits simultaneously. Additionally, we expanded the Entrepreneurship Academy which provided students with the opportunity to create their own businesses and compete in national conferences.
